There is an organization of fire truck enthusiasts called SPAAMFAA, the Society for the Preservation and Appreciation of Antique Motor Fire Apparatus in America.  I attended the 2005 national conference in Houston and took lots pictures which you can view below.  I can assure you a good time was had by all.
